Halal food taster

Assalamualaikum :D I went to Just Nice Coffeehouse at Taman Tasik Utama. It was a new coffeehouse more like a restaurant actually that serves typical Malay cuisines and Western cuisines. What makes this coffeehouse a different compared than other eatery is it also serves dumplings. And of course the dumplings are halal guaranteed! The daily special menus would be displayed here. Indoor eating area. The outdoor eating area was decorated with the hanging garden lights. Cakes and cookies were also available.  Asam pedas (RM12.80) Served with rice, salted egg, salted fish, sambal belacan, fried egg, cucumber and vege  made this complete set a right way to eat asam pedas. Nasi ayam penyet (RM12.80) I am a fan of nasi ayam penyet but something was missing here.. Nyonya laksa (RM8) I like the fact that the sauce was very creamy. Fried samosa (RM4.50) Mocha ice blended (RM5.50) Very diluted, all I tasted was ice!

Assalamualaikum :D I went to IOI City Mall for some window shopping and I found Sepiring Restaurant, a restaurant that serves homegrown meals and reflecting uniquely Malaysian roots. Lots of crowd came here. The menu. I love this little details here, an evaporated milk can for putting forks and spoons. Some of the interior in the restaurant. The drink counter. Nasi ulam ayam percik (RM18.78) This nasi ulam consisted of salted egg, ayam percik, serunding and keropok lekor. It was my first time eating nasi ulam and surprisingly it tasted very good. The crunchiness and the spiciness of the ulams blended in with the rice. Now I know why nasi ulam was  my parent's' favourite meal. Assalamualaikum :D I brought my mom to Ikea Cheras because she complained that she never been to Ikea and told me how her friends visit to Ikea, what they bought etc. So good daughter mode is on.  Ikea Cheras was just opened last November, and is the biggest Ikea in Malaysia! The location is very strategic, and catches a lot of attention from the public who do not need to go to Damansara. Ikea Restaurant in Cheras which offers the same Swedish menu would definitely captures the heart of Malaysian again. The long queue. Swedish Meatball (RM15) The hearty meal which captures the heart of Malaysian. The meatballs were cooked well and they had tender texture. The taste of the creamy sauce, yummy mashed potato and the  traditional lingonberry jam went well with the them.
