Cat Walk Studio @ Taman Tasik Utama

Image
Assalamualaikum :D Being a crazy cat lady brought me to the Cat Walk Studio at Ayer Keroh. This place was not just another ordinary cat studio, but it was a cafe! And it also offers other services like boutique, spa and hotel for cats. I repeat those services are for cats! We 'hooman' can indulge ourselves with the food at the cafe or playing with the cats at the Cats & Play area. I prefer to do both! The cafe serves different but a fixed menu everyday so this menu sign board at the front of cafe was a great help. The interior of the cafe. Great lighting, warm and cozy ambience. I love the idea of how they incorporated cats in each details of the interior. You can read this cats magazines and books while  waiting for your furry friends to get groomed or  checking in/out of the hotel. The trophies won by the cats from the studio.  Congratulations!! Spaghetti bolognese (RM9.90) I like the fact that it was...

Just Nice Coffeehouse @ Taman Tasik Utama

Image
Assalamualaikum :D I went to Just Nice Coffeehouse at Taman Tasik Utama. It was a new coffeehouse more like a restaurant actually that serves typical Malay cuisines and Western cuisines. What makes this coffeehouse a different compared than other eatery is it also serves dumplings. And of course the dumplings are halal guaranteed! The daily special menus would be displayed here. Indoor eating area. The outdoor eating area was decorated with the hanging garden lights. Cakes and cookies were also available.  Asam pedas (RM12.80) Served with rice, salted egg, salted fish, sambal belacan, fried egg, cucumber and vege  made this complete set a right way to eat asam pedas. Nasi ayam penyet (RM12.80) I am a fan of nasi ayam penyet but something was missing here.. Nyonya laksa (RM8) I like the fact that the sauce was very creamy. Fried samosa (RM4.50) Mocha ice blended (RM5.50) Very diluted, all I tasted ...

Sepiring @ IOI City Mall

Image
Assalamualaikum :D I went to IOI City Mall for some window shopping and I found Sepiring Restaurant, a restaurant that serves homegrown meals and reflecting uniquely Malaysian roots. Lots of crowd came here. The menu. I love this little details here, an evaporated milk can for putting forks and spoons. Some of the interior in the restaurant. The drink counter. Nasi ulam ayam percik (RM18.78) This nasi ulam consisted of salted egg, ayam percik, serunding and keropok lekor. It was my first time eating nasi ulam and surprisingly it tasted very good. The crunchiness and the spiciness of the ulams blended in with the rice. Now I know why nasi ulam was  my parent's' favourite meal. Nyonya laksa (RM14.29) Using thick rice noodles, shredded steam chicken and prawns, this meal was very flavourful. And I love the fact that the sauce was so creamy. Asam laksa (RM14.29) This asam laksa which also co...

Lineclear Restaurant @ Kampung Jawa

Image
Assalamualaikum :D Lineclear Restaurant is a family-run restaurant at Kampung Jawa. This restaurant is very known for its satays and cendol, and I used to came here since I was a child. Same as  Satay Teluk Iskandar , this restaurant served various kinds of satay meats too. Interestingly this restaurant is just located at the riverline of Melaka River so customers can enjoy the scenic view while eating here. The restaurant from a far. Since a lot of crowds came here, there would always customers who stand while waiting  for the limited seats. The menu list. Sorry for the blurry image. Satays (RM0.70/stick) The different meat of satays were chicken, beef, cockle, liver and intestine. Sadly, it didn't taste the same compared than that during my childhood time. Rojak (RM4.00) Very tasty. Fried noodles (RM4.00) Cendol. Sorry not sure how much did it cost. Restoran Lineclear  23 Jalan Jawa Kampung Jawa ...

Big Mug Big Plate @ Taman Tasik Utama

Image
Assalamualaikum :D The signage of the Big Mug Big Plate restaurant always caught my attention whenever I passed through the side street of Taman Tasik Utama. I came here one night knowing the fact that the restaurant closed at 1am on weekends.  The signage which attracted me to come here. Love the kufi wall decoration. Some of the interior. Just like its name, this restaurant served big mug drinks but there were options for vase drinks also.  This pineapple and carrot juice in big mugs each costed for RM8.50.  By the way, please try the pineapple juice!  Green mango in vase (RM6.50) Lamb shank (RM19.90) Served with the tomato gravy, this lamb shank was truly a mouth-watering! Chicken chop (RM13.90) The barbecue sauce was too thick that made the chicken chop a bit dry. A bigger portion of coleslaw would be a great help to cover the dryness. New Zealand beef short ribs (RM22.90) Simply tasty!! ...
