A brief introductory

Assalamualaikum and hi to all!
My name is Syaz and I am a pharmacy student. I make this blog is not just for fun but to demonstrate my own perspective towards food, recipes, restaurants etc.. Yeah, I do have my own philosophy in cooking so you could say that I am a picky eater. There is nothing wrong with my tastebuds but I may taste food differently compared to other people. In this blog I will introduce you guys some interesting places to eat, from warungs to top notch restaurants. More importantly, places that serve halal food. So Muslims out there, try to have a taste with no worries. I also may share some recipes but do not expect much as I am not really a good cook. Comments or feedbacks are encouraged so that this little beginner can improve. Jazakallahu khairan :)

Assalamualaikum :) Last weekend, I went for iftar with my sister at Black Canyon Restaurant which located at Dataran Pahlawan Megamall. Black Canyon Restaurant owns by a Thai company and there are lots of franchises of the restaurant in several countries including Malaysia. The one that we went just opened early this year. Since we went for iftar, both of us had ordered our menu and paid RM50 beforehand. The restaurant was crowded with customers during iftar time. It was decorated for the upcoming raya. I love the interior. The displayed menu. The Ramadhan set promotion. Seafood tom yam (RM16.90) I love this!! Tasted very nice. Steamed rice (RM1.90) Even plain rice looked elegant. Kailan salted fish (RM9.90) Thai fish cake (RM12.90) Blueberry delight (RM8.95) Definitely would order this again for the next visit! Mawilla Yacht Club Restaurant @ Jalan Tanjung Batu, Labuan

Assalamualaikum :) People assured me to try seafood in Labuan probably due to its cheap price. I came to know about Mawilla Yacht Club Restaurant, which was also recommended by my sister. Mawilla restaurant is located along the beachside, so I was able to enjoy the Labuan's beach view (even it was at night).  The restaurant is  owned by Prospergrow Development  Sdn. Bhd and is claimed to be halal however they serve beer.  The restaurant was spacious!! A lot of crowd came here. There was a huge boat which contained a variety of seafood. The seafood that was available there. The price of the seafood. Satak in black pepper sauce. It was my first time eating satak but I already fall in love with it. Fyi, satak tastes like lobster. Row-Six Restaurant @ Aeon Bandaraya

Assalamualaikum :) One fine day, as my sisters and I were walking through Aeon Bandaraya Melaka for food hunting, a new restaurant so-called Row-Six caught the eyes of the three hungry fellas. Yup, us!! Row Six is a franchise restaurants which serves Southeast Asia meals; Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines. What makes it interesting, it is halal!! Yeah, there was a halal certificate displayed. (Disclaimer: I do not know whether other franchises of Row-Six are halal or not) There is a plenty of menu selection here. What makes the menu interesting is the origin and the spiciness level of each food  is stated. Can you see Malaysian flag up here? Nasi ketuk with chicken rendang, fried onions sauce,sambal,  papaya pickles, spicy spinach, fried egg and fish cracker. (RM16.95) I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS NASI KETUK. There were also other types of nasi ketuk like nasi ketuk  with seafood combo, or with fried kembong fish and many more!
