Bacchus Garden @ Hamamonu, Ankara

Image
Assalamualikum :) I went to Hamamonu again to try more Turkish food! This time I went to Bacchus Garden that was always pack with bunch of customers. Like Faralya Restaurant, Bacchus Garden also serves both Turkish and Western cuisines. The crowds of people who came here. The restaurant was very spacious. Other eating area. You have to pay at the opposite block. The table setting. I love this wall decor. Turkish restaurants will always serve you with wet tissue  because most of them do not have sink. You can spice up your food according to your personal taste.  Barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper and sugar were provided. Spaghetti bolonez (10 TL) Turkish style spaghetti bolognese.  Tavuklu penne (9 TL) Chicken penne with cream sauce.  Simply delicious! Izgara tavuk (10 TL) Grilled spicy chicken, wedges and salads. Waffles (9 TL) The waffles was hot and thin. Besides st

Oktay Lokantasi @ Hamamonu, Ankara

Assalamualaikum :) As both my friend and I hunted for food, we were asked by a friendly cook from a restaurant named Oktay Lokantasi to come in. The cook knew about Malaysia and he able to speak English a little which eased our communication. He took our orders and served us with food. He also said that he had an Indonesian friend while showing his friend's picture and asked us "Do you know him?" Lol. By the way, this restaurant opens 24 hours daily and it's speciality is kebab. I saw many customers ordered kebabs for takeaways. It was a corner lot restaurant. Some of the menu available. There were many cooks in the restaurant and each of them had their own cook stations. There were a lot of people ate here. The ambience of this restaurant was like at food court. I found out that most Turkish restaurants served free breads for the customers to eat. One of the cook who worked there, not the one who welcomed us.

Firstly I bring to you guys to Faralya Cafe Restaurant which situated at Hamamonu, Ankara.  Hamamonu is a place where streets of old houses were restored to become cafes, restaurants or for other business purposes.  The streets are very close to the university that I do the research at. Faralya cafe restaurant was very big and displayed a garden theme. This restaurant serves both turkish and western cuisines. Some of the interior. Right before you got served, the waiter will put this paper placemate with a fork and a knife. No spoon regardless what type of food you ordered. Tavuk cokertme (11 TL) "Tavuk" means chicken. This dish consisted of small fried potato chips,  sliced chicken and salad dressings. It's taste kinda off with my tastebuds. Man
