Ikea Restaurant @ Ikea Cheras

Image
Assalamualaikum :D I brought my mom to Ikea Cheras because she complained that she never been to Ikea and told me how her friends visit to Ikea, what they bought etc. So good daughter mode is on.  Ikea Cheras was just opened last November, and is the biggest Ikea in Malaysia! The location is very strategic, and catches a lot of attention from the public who do not need to go to Damansara. Ikea Restaurant in Cheras which offers the same Swedish menu would definitely captures the heart of Malaysian again. The long queue. Swedish Meatball (RM15) The hearty meal which captures the heart of Malaysian. The meatballs were cooked well and they had tender texture. The taste of the creamy sauce, yummy mashed potato and the  traditional lingonberry jam went well with the them. Assalamualaikum :) Banana fritters a.k.a pisang goreng would always be my favourite hello and hardest goodbye. Cewah. Yes, I am a pisang goreng fan and would always hunt for them on evenings especially on rainy days. I came to know about Kapten Pisang, a shop at Taman Cempaka Food Court which sells pisang goreng with variety of toppings. Before, my multiple visits to here left me to disappointments as the pisang goreng was always sold out but I smiled the later day after made an early visit. How the shop looked like. You have to make an order at this counter. The selection of toppings include cheese, chocolate, caramel cheese,  chocolate cheese, oreo cheese and cinnamon sugar. More toppings could be chosen when having the pisang goreng here compared than take them home. Mini jumbo (RM10) A set of 12 pieces pisang goreng with four different toppings. I chose these toppings; cinnamon, caramel, cheese and chocolate. I love the generous amo...

Oktay Lokantasi @ Hamamonu, Ankara

Image
Assalamualaikum :) As both my friend and I hunted for food, we were asked by a friendly cook from a restaurant named Oktay Lokantasi to come in. The cook knew about Malaysia and he able to speak English a little which eased our communication. He took our orders and served us with food. He also said that he had an Indonesian friend while showing his friend's picture and asked us "Do you know him?" Lol. By the way, this restaurant opens 24 hours daily and it's speciality is kebab. I saw many customers ordered kebabs for takeaways. It was a corner lot restaurant. Some of the menu available. There were many cooks in the restaurant and each of them had their own cook stations. There were a lot of people ate here. The ambience of this restaurant was like at food court. I found out that most Turkish restaurants served free breads for the customers to eat. One of the cook who worked there, not the one who welcomed us. ...
