Just Nice Coffeehouse @ Taman Tasik Utama

Image
Assalamualaikum :D I went to Just Nice Coffeehouse at Taman Tasik Utama. It was a new coffeehouse more like a restaurant actually that serves typical Malay cuisines and Western cuisines. What makes this coffeehouse a different compared than other eatery is it also serves dumplings. And of course the dumplings are halal guaranteed! The daily special menus would be displayed here. Indoor eating area. The outdoor eating area was decorated with the hanging garden lights. Cakes and cookies were also available.  Asam pedas (RM12.80) Served with rice, salted egg, salted fish, sambal belacan, fried egg, cucumber and vege  made this complete set a right way to eat asam pedas. Nasi ayam penyet (RM12.80) I am a fan of nasi ayam penyet but something was missing here.. Nyonya laksa (RM8) I like the fact that the sauce was very creamy. Fried samosa (RM4.50) Mocha ice blended (RM5.50) Very diluted, all I tasted ...

Tappers Cafe @ Dataran Pahlawan

Image
Assalamualaikum :D Hanging out at Dataran Pahlawan sometimes left me undecided for what to eat there. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of cafes or restaurants there. It's just that I always want to try something new or something more satisfying. Hehe :D Then I found Tappers Cafe, a new eatery which served both western cuisines and local cuisines based on the influence of Hainanese food. The cafe is owned by Papa Kok Cafe Sdn Bhd and is Halal certified by Jakim.  (The worker there shew me the certificate) It was a two-floor cafe. The concept of the cafe was inspired from Malaysia's colonial heritage so  it's interior was a bit classy and modern. The inside eating area of the 1st floor. The cakes or tarts selection. Outside eating area of the 1st floor. I really fall in love with the interior here! What it looked like at 2nd floor. The magnificent view of A Famosa and other historical buildings from the cafe....

Assalamualaikum :) Satay celup is a popular dish in Malacca and it is hard to find the real halal satay celup. Celop-Celop is a restaurant owned by Muslim which mainly serves satay celup and yong tau foo. The restaurant is located near Aeon Bandaraya. The restaurant had a good hygeine.  The cashier and the buffet promotions. The tables with the stove. The choices of satays. Each stick costs for RM0.80. I ordered the couple set which consisted of 28 satay sticks and two drinks.  The set costed for RM25.90 which is very reasonable compared than eating at buffet price. Dip the satays into the hot kacang sauce for about 3 minutes and it will cooked. Sorry, I don't like the kacang sauce as it tasted very different than that we usually eat.  Mee hoon tom yam (RM5.90) Quite delicious. Bandung cincau (RM2.50) Limau asam boi (RM2.50) ABC (RM4.50) The outside eating area. Celop-Celop (S...

R&H Cafe Satay Maharani @ Muar

Image
Assalamualaikum :D  I found out that the locals in Muar uniquely love to have satays for their breakfast. Therefore I made a sweet escape to Muar to know how does it feel to indulge satays at early mornings. The restaurant that I went was R&H Cafe Satay Maharani, a very famous restaurant that only opens during the breakfast hour. How did it looked like inside.   I was stunned with the interior of the restaurant when I went further inside. I love how the decors hanging from the ceiling.  The food here has unique names. Some of the newspaper articles about this restaurant. There was also a traditional table setting where you have to sit on your own, without chairs. Satay (RM0.60/stick) The best thing is, there is no need to order how much satay do you want.  Instead, you will be served with one set of satays and  the staffs there will count how many sticks have you eaten.  ...
