Sepiring @ IOI City Mall

Image
Assalamualaikum :D I went to IOI City Mall for some window shopping and I found Sepiring Restaurant, a restaurant that serves homegrown meals and reflecting uniquely Malaysian roots. Lots of crowd came here. The menu. I love this little details here, an evaporated milk can for putting forks and spoons. Some of the interior in the restaurant. The drink counter. Nasi ulam ayam percik (RM18.78) This nasi ulam consisted of salted egg, ayam percik, serunding and keropok lekor. It was my first time eating nasi ulam and surprisingly it tasted very good. The crunchiness and the spiciness of the ulams blended in with the rice. Now I know why nasi ulam was  my parent's' favourite meal. Nyonya laksa (RM14.29) Using thick rice noodles, shredded steam chicken and prawns, this meal was very flavourful. And I love the fact that the sauce was so creamy. Asam laksa (RM14.29) This asam laksa which also co...

Beryl's Chocolate & Cafe

Image
Assalamualaikum :D The opening of Mitsui Outlet Park on last 30th May promoted the opening of many business types. Beryl's Chocolate and Cafe is one of them and this would be the first Beryl's Cafe in Malaysia too. I asked the Malay staff there about the halal status of the cafe and it seems everything still in the progress but she assured me that the cafe is halal. I came here with confidence and I was delighted to indulge all the tasty desserts ( fangirling mode for chocolates )! The cafe at the front.  The dining area was further inside the cafe. Some of Beryl's products were also available there. This menu stand would be a great help for customers to know what's in the menu. The classy yet simple interior of the cafe. There were various of chocolate pralines which made of milk, dark and white chocolates. You can choose whichever you want and the staff there would package them nicely in a box. Assorted pralines c...

Zawara Coffee @ Bangi

Image
Assalamualaikum :D Zawara Coffee Bangi is just opened and it offers a wide variety of menu. There will be more Zawara Coffee outlets soon and hooray for those who are interested in franchising as there are opportunities to do so! For more information, visit Zawara Coffee's webpage. The front of the cafe with its signage. The outside eating area with the provided ashtrays on the tables. The operating hour. The cafe opens everyday from 9am-11pm but till 12am for Fridays and Saturdays. This is quite rare because most cafes close on Mondays. The counter and also the cashier. You need to make an order first, then the staff there would give a pager that would ring once the order is prepared. It just like at Caffe Bene .  By the way the counter was a bit high as I needed to stand on tiptoe when ordering  or am I too short?   The cakes selection. The displayed menu. The prices of the food were affordable. The cafe was fil...

Assalamualaikum :D There is a newly opened boutique cafe at Bukit Baru. The cafe is owned by Hana Zakaria, a well known wedding planner. Interesting enough that the cafe is just at the same place as Hadramawt Palace Restaurant. The cafe is the sub of Truly Signature which just opened last 30th May. The table setting. The cakes that been displayed there. The menu book.  Sundae cheesecake (RM15) The signature dish of the cafe.  It was a mix of cheesecake, caramelized walnut,  topped with vanilla ice cream and butterscotch sauce. Nutella cheese cake (RM12) This was sweetened hazelnut chocolate and  cheesecake served with berries.  The smooth texture of the cake was just nice which makes it simply irresistible!  French miniature (RM15) It consists of a creme brulee  with vanilla ice cream, choc mousse and panna cotta. I love all these three little miniatures. Chocolate frappe (...
